Checkpoint/Restart Requirements Gathering Workshop

Online, July 12 & 13, 2022

About the Workshop

The purpose of the Checkpoint/Restart Requirements Gathering Workshop is to draw upon the expertise of the developers of scientific applications and checkpoint/restart tools/libraries to create a set of requirements for the C/R interface standard, which will help develop portable C/R codes at all levels (transparent and application level checkpointing) to help the HPC community to harness C/R benefits that go far beyond resilience.

We welcome all interested individuals to participate in the workshop (See Registration below). The workshop will include a series of presentations followed by discussion sessions. The workshop speakers (by invitation only) will include experts from computing and a wide variety of scientific fields whose applications/libraries/tools are used widely in the scientific community. We invite all participants to join the discussion sessions, contributing their insights to the C/R requirements, from which the C/R interface standard will be developed.
